• When Alicia saw the big towers of Shadow Pack came in view, she sighed. She had actually missed Hillary’s training. However, now, it’s not just Hillary who would be training her now. She glanced at the man sitting beside her and was working on his laptop, a soft smile spread on her lips. Inasmuch as she wanted to move closer to him, she knew whatever he was working on was serious as he had been on it since they left the palace. The car stopped in front of the big gate and soldiers came out to salute them as the car drove in. Shawn didn’t look up from his laptop for once and Alicia could only sigh and feel bad for the soldiers.
• As the car drove into the pack, she stared at the window. No matter how many times she saw it, she couldn’t shake the feeling that this doesn’t have the warmth of a pack, but rather, it feels more like a training arena where you get wolves ready for war. And in truth, no matter how you look at it, that is what Shadow pack and Shadow Soldiers are for. The fact that kids aren’t allowed in the pack is a good proof of it.
• The car stopped in front of the mansion, Theo, Margaret, Anastasia, and three of the high ranking commanders where waiting for them. Alicia gulped and waited for Shawn to put away his laptop before she climbed out of the car. She could feel it in her heart that she was part of the reason that they were receiving such a welcome. They didn’t have high ranking commanders waiting for them the first time she arrived in the pack, so why now?
