Chapter 84
- Alicia opened her eyes. She was in a dimly lit bedroom, but she was alone in bed. She slowly sat up on the bed, wincing softly at the pain in between her legs and back. The pains were all she needed to remember what happened last night. Indeed, Shawn lived up to his reputation in her imagination. After their hard fuck in his study, he had carried her to his bedroom where he took her in so many positions she had never tried in her life before, and they all nearly blew her mind away. She chuckled, thinking about everything that had happened and also wondering where he could be. She climbed out of the bed and went to the window, drawing the curtains. Light flitted into the room, nearly blinding her and she squinted.
- When her eyes had adjusted to the light, she stared outside. Unlike the Blood Stone pack, this place looked nothing like a pack. She couldn’t see children running around and playing, or omegas in a haste to finish their chores. However, what she saw were soldiers marching around, and she could still hear the commands being given from afar. She could tell that training was still ongoing, and by right, she should be there with them. However, with her identity as Shawn’s fiancée, she wondered if Hillary would be mad at her for not showing up. And that’s right, Margaret, she still needs to see Margaret and talk with her.
- She left the window and entered the bathroom; there was a big white bath, and the sight of it invited her. Soon, she was filling it with hot water and pouring the lavender soap she had gotten on the day she first came there. She climbed into the bath and moaned in relief, the hot soak helping with the aches in her private part. Damn it, Shawn indeed is a monster. Remembering that he had marked her, she raised her leg to look at her thigh, smiling sheepishly when she saw the already healed half-moon mark. She ran her fingers on it, shivering slightly; she still couldn’t believe it. Shawn was her mate, and inasmuch as they were hiding it from the world, he had marked her. She chuckled, remembering that she had marked him too and wondering what her mark would look like on his shoulder. Damn it, Nala, why did you have to mark him on the shoulder?
