Chapter 79
- Shawn drove to a clothing store. As soon as they went in, the clerks rushed to them; however, they backed away as fast as they approached. Alicia moaned and fell into Shawn’s arms, acting weak. The sudden change in character had surprised Shawn, but he caught on real fast. He didn’t need to fake being weak like Alicia; everyone knew him as the Shadow Lord and his high tolerance to silver.
- “Find us something, fast,” he barked at the clerks, and they jumped to action. “Keep holding on, you are doing great,” he said to Alicia, and she pushed herself up from his arm, pretending to walk steadily to a couch, hoping to match the idea of her walking into the mall on her own. Shawn sat beside her, using the excuse to pull her into his arms once more. Oh, how much he had missed her, the feel of her against his body. Apart from holding her in his arms, he was dying to kiss her, to hold her even tighter while he ravaged her body. But once more, he had to remind himself that she was mad at him, and he still needed to appease her, and he must do that soon.
- A pair of jeans and a top were quickly found for Alicia, and Shawn helped her to the changing room. Although he wanted to stay with her, he knew if he still wanted to hold onto his self-control, he should be very far from her as she changed. He went back to the couch and had the clerks dispose of the jacket he was holding earlier. He bought a new black pull-over shirt for himself and walked into the male fitting room. He changed into it, and by the time he was out, Alicia was already waiting for him.
