- I stood in front of the mirror, halfway through getting dressed, still in my vest and trousers. My hair was damp from the shower, and I was drying it with a towel, rubbing it through my strands vigorously. The room was warm, the air thick from the heat that clung to your skin after a shower. I didn’t care about the heat, though. I didn’t care about anything. I was focused on getting dressed, getting out, anything to keep my mind off the one thing I didn’t want to deal with. The one thing I'd been thinking about almost nonstop for the past two days. It was funny - actually, not really - how the issue with the rogues had almost completely taken a backseat. The last time I'd spoken to Isabel about the third rogue, she'd said she couldn't remember what he'd looked like.
