Chapter 27

- My phone landed at the center of the bed with a light thud. Bianca and I had been on the phone for about ten minutes. She'd been giving me a run down of the things we needed to fix up around the pack. As the pack counselor, her duty involved getting in touch with the pack members and finding out what their needs were. She helped resolve disagreements around the pack and informed me of the more pressing needs. I ran a hand through my hair, already thinking up ways the problem she'd relayed could be fixed.
- I checked the time, realizing it was already late in the evening. I'd spent almost the whole day in my study, reading everything I could about werewolf lore, one of my favorite pastimes. The air was a bit breezy when I stepped outside the house. The sun was just setting, casting a warm orange glow around the pack. The atmosphere was perfect for patrol, and Thorne must have known it too. He'd sent me a text saying he was going to meet me in front of the pack house and asking me to get my bike ready. He didn't have to tell me twice.
