  • The store in front of me wasn't like the usual places one came across. It certainly is nothing like Lila's. For one, Lila's store certainly didn't look like it was only seconds away from crumbling down. More than that, the store was significantly away from the rest of the population, almost at the outskirts of town. Something about the building had called out to me when I'd been on a special assignment outside of town. Maybe it was the way the air around it felt different, like something was waiting to be uncovered. Whatever it was, I'd decided to take a look, and I'd met the most powerful seer to ever live - Morgan.
  • I'd been to many mystical stores over the past weeks. Getting answers to my questions about Stella's death had become an obsession. A lot of the mystical stores had felt overly protected. But this store? It felt different. It didn’t seem to hold secrets for the sake of holding them. It felt like the kind of place that would give you something real, but only if you were brave enough to ask for it. I swung my leg off my bike, my boots hitting the cracked pavement with a dull thud. The street was quiet and brought the peace Morgan had said she wanted. No one would come all the way to the middle of nowhere if it wasn't important, she'd explained.
