• Dante had announced the news of my pregnancy to the council, with my permission. They'd all been present at the pack house this morning to congratulate me, including Bianca. Even though I neither trusted her nor the congratulations she'd given, I'd given her a hug to show I accepted it. I'd informed Louisa of my pregnancy myself and she'd had the most heartwarming reaction out of everyone. Dante had also made sure to tighten security around the pack house. There was always someone keeping an eye on the house twenty-four-seven.
• It had taken the intervention of the moon goddess before I'd convinced him having warriors around the house wasn't necessary. I wasn't Stella, and I didn't want him making decisions for us because of what happened to her. We had bigger things to worry about; like finding out where Aiden was hiding and who had sent him. More than that, we weren't ready to let the pack know of the pregnancy yet. Asking warriors to guard the house was definitely going to raise suspicions.
