- The restaurant sat on top of the hill, with the rest of Santorini spread out below it. It was the kind of place Serena might have once dreamed of visiting with Rita and Anna, before her life became a prison with her husband as her jailer.
- She stepped out of the SUV slowly, momentarily distracted by the view, by the golden light spilling onto the cobbled steps, by the soft sea breeze lifting her hair. It felt so magical. For a second, she was glad she had followed Adriano for dinner.
