• Serena sat quietly on the couch, absently scrolling through her phone even though she wasn't really seeing anything on the screen. The hospital room was quiet, save for the occasional beep from the monitors and the soft hum of the air conditioning. Rita was resting, sipping on some orange juice, with her head propped on a pillow, watching her sister from beneath her lashes.
