Chapter 210 She Hated It

• On the drive back to the hospital, Serena stared out the window. She had made Martin believe that Elliot was still alive when he was very much dead. That was going to be another issue. But she had been desperate, and at least now he had ended things with Anna. She would show him where Elliot was buried, and she would deal with whatever reaction Martin exhibited.
• The silence in the car dragged on, and Serena was grateful for it. But she could feel Mike's gaze flicker to her face every few seconds, like he was waiting for her to speak-something she did not plan on doing.
• She pressed her fingers to her temple and closed her eyes for a second, hoping that would dissuade him from asking her any questions. The last thing she wanted was to tell Mike what had gone down in Martin's office. She could not trust him with that.
