• The morning sun filtered into the yard through the trees, and the birds were chirping away at the perfect new morning. Adriano stepped out into the yard, the gravel pressing against his bare feet with every step he took.
• A black van pulled up into the yard, distracting Adriano, and moments later, a dark man in a courier's uniform stepped out, carrying a large wooden box. Adriano frowned and asked who the delivery was from. The man did not answer. He just dropped the box at Adriano's feet, walked back to the van, and sped off.
• Adriano's brow furrowed as he bent down. His fingers curled around the edges of the lid as he contemplated whether or not to open the strange package. Something inside him screamed not to open it, but he did anyway.
