• Anna sauntered into Martin's apartment, the soft clink of her heels echoing on the hardwood floor as he closed the door behind her. The buzz of champagne made her giggly and warm, her cheeks flushed and her eyes a little too bright. She laughed as Martin caught her waist and pulled her close, the scent of his cologne filling her lungs.
• "Someone had a little too much fun tonight," he teased, brushing a curl from her face.
• She slapped his chest playfully, nearly missing. "Shut up. I was supporting you, as a dedicated girlfriend should. And as much as I care about you, the party was too boring; I needed the wine to get through it."
