• Rita groaned, scrunching up her nose in protest as Serena lifted a spoonful of warm chicken soup to her lips.
• "Ugh," she muttered, turning her head slightly. "I just clawed my way back from the dead, and this is how you welcome me? Chicken soup? I was hoping for lobster and maybe champagne."
• Serena huffed, trying not to laugh. "You can have your fancy celebration after your lungs start working on their own again," she said, nudging the spoon closer. "Right now, it is soup and juice."
