• Adriano's lips curled at the edges in satisfaction as anger sparked in Serena's brown eyes. It was nothing compared to what awaited her in the coming weeks.
• Left to him, he would put a bullet in her brain, settle the score, and move on to his next business. That was the plan until his meeting with El Padrino. Adriano never wanted to get married. Women were liabilities in his line of business. They craved too much attention, drew too much attention, and could be used by rival cartels.
