• Adam let out a sigh for the third time in half an hour, and Monica giggled. She glanced at his hands on the steering wheel and noticed the way his knuckled has whitened. She traced his forearms, biceps, chest, face. It was all taut with tension.
• “Worried?” she teased, leaning closer to him, and he shot her a glare.
• “What do you think? I'm not ready for something like this. I feel like I'm going to puke my guts out.” He huffed, and when she giggled again, he rolled his eyes. “And I don't know why I'm even doing this. You could get killed.”
