Chapter 59

• After a few moments of tense silence, Adam huffed and started changing. Monica gaped at him in fear, her heart thundering in horror. What if the enemies thought he was going to attack? Her eyes whirled to the masked men and their pets, and noticed some of them really tensed by the shift taking place in front of them.
• “P-please don't shoot!” she called out, her hands slightly shaking. She took a few steps in front of Adam and stopped there. They were going to shoot her first to get to him.
• “Monica... It's over. Come here.” His voice appeared behind her, and she looked back. He was finally human, his legs already in his jeans. They were ripped at so many places, bloody and so dirty. Her chest clenched. Some of the blood was probably Adam's.
