Chapter 21

• This was it. This was their end. Monica squeezed his body desperately, and as if acting on her last wish, her lips found the area between Adam's ear and cheek, and lightly kissed it. His tense arm pressed around her, and her eyes watered.
• The last thing Monica saw was two of the werewolves jumping at her. Her world froze with fear, and she couldn't even blink. When the wolves were just inches away from her face, and she could smell their rotten breaths, howls echoed through the sky and the two beasts were pinned down on the ground, other werewolves tearing at their flesh.
• Seeing them die was no less horrifying than seeing herself die. This was the picture she had imagined herself going through. It was literally bone-shattering. Their skin was pulled and torn, blood flying from the wounds. The muscles were visible, the flesh, and meat.
