• He stood up, starting to walk, and Monica followed, confusion clouding her mind. When he whipped around, she almost fell by surprise.
• “And you!” Adam growled and pointed his finger at her. “Where did you get such guts from to engage in a fight with a death-seeking soldier?! You can't even touch a hair on its body! It would eat you for snacks and snap your thick skull in a few seconds!”
• Everything in Monica stilled for a moment. This was a rough change from his heartbroken demeanor. It escalated from zero to one hundred in the blink of an eye.
