• Ilona averted her empty eyes from the ground, and they found him. Her shoulders were dropped, her posture so different from the woman she used to be. She looked like she had given up. Dead inside. Her brown hair that had always been brushed and elegantly styled, was now messy and dirty, and her red lips were butchered up and had wounds all around them. She had also lost an extreme quantity of weight.
• She deserved it. It only made Adam sneer, his black heart relishing in her pain. He was thriving in it like the monster he was. And to think he had been so foolish to try and propose to her... Never again, never was he going to open his heart to another person. Not anymore. But only if he could put his claws on her pale skin... Would he be able to experience pleasure for even a minute?
