Chapter 61: The Trap

• “Sit down, Sarah.” Jason said for the umpteenth time in two hours. He had been on his feet since Damon left and not once did he have a chance to stay seated. His task was to keep sight of Sarah at all times and since Sarah was galloping around the room for god knows what, he too had to do the same as well. By now, he wasn’t sure if he could keep up with her. “Damon is the Alpha King for gods sake! A few lousy rogues can’t kill him.”
• “Being the Alpha King doesn’t make him invincible.” She argued. Her mind was filled with worries of what could be happening wherever Damon was and as a result, she couldn’t stop herself from thinking too hard. “What if something happens to him?”
• “You were the one who was avoiding him. He probably doesn’t even have the will to live.” Jason’s over-dramatic words filled her ears and she glared hard at him, but didn’t comment on it. He was standing by kitchen entrance while she was by the counter. “Can’t you relax now? I doubt he has even reached their hideout yet.”
