Chapter 65 Stolen Kiss

  • Thomas's POV
  • I felt like I was floating in the air. "Fully werelion and fully witch?" I asked her. 'Was that even possible?' I wondered. “Yes I am,” she responded. “How is that even possible?” I asked. She looked at me chuckling. “I know it is something difficult to understand because it is unheard of. Even my parents didn't know how to explain this. My mother is half witch and half lioness. She is what is called a hybrid and everyone expected me to be one…” she went on explaining how she ended up fully witch and fully lion which actually made sense why she could use her witch powers to mask her lioness. “Wow! I have such a powerful mate?” I said as I boldly approached her. It was as if I suddenly had so much confidence. I touched her hand and sparks shot from our contact, once again confirming that we are indeed mates. I looked into her eyes and saw nothing but love that was drawing me deeper, making me fall for them. For the first time I saw immense beauty in this girl’s eyes and realized she had green eyes that almost looked like hazel. “You look so beautiful!” I said to her, making her blush. I pulled her closer to me feeling all those sparks rattle at our contact and it felt so good. She felt like she belonged in my arms and for the first time I believed in the goddess, because right in front of me stood one. “I must have been really blind for all this time that i didn't see all this beauty.” I said, seeing a red tint as it painted her cheeks. She chuckled. “I’m glad you see it now,” she shyly said. We stood there looking at each other lost in our thoughts of how good it felt to be with a mate. I knew that I must be looking like an idiot grinning from ear to ear but I just didn't care at that moment. This was unexpected, and the discovery made me puzzled. If she is this powerful and the goddess paired her with me, how powerful are our cubs going to be? I couldn't stop the smiles that kept creeping into my lips as I got lost in my thoughts. She must have been watching me for quite a while because she finally said, “I think we have to get back because it’s getting dark.” OMG! “What?” I asked, surprised that she mentioned darkness. How did it get dark? It was morning just a while ago. I looked around in a haze and laughed hard when I realized that she just played a good one on me. She laughed along with me. I looked at her liking the character she has. She was just like me. Truly a match from the celestial. I realized how much the goddess loved me to give me someone not so uptight. It has always been my desire to be mated or to choose a mate who is able to relax, joke about and be free around me. “That was a good one, I love your personality,” I said to her and she cleared her throat. “You aren’t as uptight as I thought you were. You never smiled before and I assumed you were meanie,” she said and I looked up at her surprised that she ever noticed me. I never at any time saw her looking at me for once. “I liked you though, the fact that your facial expressions showed you didn’t like that Witch Patricia warmed my heart. I told Lucy from the first day she introduced her to me that the girl wasn’t
  • genuine but she being one to have faith in people, didn’t believe me,” she said. “Was it because you saw it through your witch powers?” I asked her. She shook her head. “No, just a woman’s instincts. You know the thing about women having a sixth sense?” she asked and I nodded. “I’ve heard of that. Is it something in your head or is it just a feeling?” I asked. She smiled and I realized how she had the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen. I’ve come across many women but lately I had been drawn to this beautiful creature and I started noticing her. I know I’ve been stealing glances at her since I got in contact with her this semester. I scolded myself over it so many times. I guess I was afraid of the fact that I had always told myself that I only wanted a lioness for a mate. “I guess you can say it’s more of a feeling than a thought,” she responded. We sat almost half of the day chatting until we had to go for our lessons. Thank the goddess we both had lessons in the afternoon only. It had been about five hours since we sat in the garden chatting and I still couldn’t get enough of her. I walked with her to her dormitory, stopped before we got to her block and I stole a kiss on the cheek. She was surprised by the action and held her cheek blushing. I chuckled  then rushed back and went to my dormitory smiling all the way there, leaving her glued to her place. I got to my dormitory all smiles, I swear I didn't even know how I got there so fast. “What happened that took you so many hours to solve? I’m surprised that you could stay out for such a long time without either me or Kenneth,” Mal asked, startling me. “From your silly grins, it looks like you did solve the problem well,” he added, making me uncomfortable. “Shut up you idiot!” I said to him and he laughed at me. “What’s up with you and Nelly? Are you guys lovers? Don’t even try to deny it because I’ve seen the way you have been looking at each other lately,” he asked. I wasn’t surprised because he is very observant. I must have been smiling because he then said, “stop grinning like a teenage girl. A human? I thought you said you wouldn't fall for a human being?” he said. “And who said she is a human being…” I said without even thinking and I quickly clamped a hand over my mouth. I mentally face-palmed. Now I had an explanation to make.
