Chapter 100 Investigations

• Turner’s POV
• “I’m talking about the battle that the goddesses were talking about during your first shift princess,” Priest Mayi said looking at Katty. That was when it dawned on us what he was talking about, though Pete was still lost. He looked at me in a confused manner. ‘Don’t worry, I will explain later. “Come, let’s go, we need to inform the Leo,” Mayi said and we all walked back to the grounds but he stopped us and told us to go wait outside the King’s office. I dismissed Pete and told him to continue with his duty. I walked along with my beautiful mate towards the King’s office. She hadn’t removed her hand from mine and I wished we could stay that way forever as it was the most comfortable feeling I have ever had. The sparks playing in between our palms were so delicious and very nice. We walked in comfortable silence and waited outside the Leo’s office back inside the castle. In a short while, he arrived with priest Mayi and invited us inside his office. After explaining everything to him, he now asked us what could be the solutions to this and how we were intending on carrying out investigations about this. We brainstormed several ideas, put them down and sifted through them but what stood out was Katty’s suggestions. “Father, I think this is where I can use my gift of extracting information from someone without their willingness.” We were all surprised that she was suggesting that. “My baby, no! You heard that it drains you off. That is dangerous because you still haven’t gained enough strength as a lioness. I can’t allow you to go through that. You could be out for days,” Mayi said firmly and I nodded my head, agreeing with her father. It was too early for her to start using that. “If I don’t start now, how will I train it and how will I ever improve it?” she countered. She was right too but I wish she could train and use her powers only in a place where she will be safe. “We can get you to train using the prisoners in the dungeons not outside our territories. It will be a lot safer that way,” I said and the King along with her father nodded in agreement with me but my mate wasn’t going to take no as an answer. I was getting frustrated. “I appreciate your concern but do you know what my purpose in this whole thing is father?” she said looking intently into her father’s eyes. Anybody who saw her could see determination in those eyes. “I was created for this purpose. Salma was created for this purpose, we need your protection but we also are supposed to protect our own. You saw how every idea we came up with didn’t hold water but had loopholes. Did you forget I can be in a place and be undetected and invisible?” she said and we all had no choice but to agree with her. All three of us sighed in defeat. “What would be the plan then my girl?” the Leo asked, looking at her. She cleared her throat and started laying down the plan for us. 
• We all agreed to do as she suggested and the King dismissed us and remained with high priest Mayi. We walked out and I asked her if she wanted to go to her room or back to the grounds. She smiled, grabbed my hand and said, let’s go have fun. Katty was my new sunshine, she was a totally new person, bolder, extra confident, and a lot more sexier with a few more inches in her  new height. I looked at her with a smile, kissed her cheek and watched her turn pink. I chuckled. One thing that fascinates me about her is the fact that no matter how bold and confident she had become, she still got a blush whenever I said or did something that surprised her. “I love this new person the most, do you know why?” I asked her and she shook her head, “Why?” she asked. “Because she is making me more confident that I want to do this. I said lowering my lips on hers and kissing her passionately. She didn’t resist though she didn’t kiss me back at first but she later gave in and we kissed until our lungs became hot needing oxygen. We took a break, panting a bit but all smiles because we had just shared our first kiss. Her lips felt like a permanent home for mine and I really enjoyed that kiss. We both were inexperienced but we were happy to be exploring this avenue together. She came closer and pulled me into a hug, I was thrilled by all the sparks that I felt rushing all over my body. I couldn’t help but wonder how our mating would feel when our naked bodies come in contact. I felt heat go up my cheeks and I was grateful that we were hugging and she wasn’t seeing my face, otherwise I would have been embarrassed if she saw me. We broke the hug after a while and we just stood there, holding each other’s hands, gazing into each other’s eyes lovingly. “I love you Turner, I mean, it could be the mate bond but I swear, I would still love you even without it. I know we’ve only known each other for almost two months but I believe you are my future, my world!” she said, taking me by surprise. I felt hot tears pricking at the back of my eyes but I blinked them back. What kind of a man would I be, a lion even who cries like a girl? “You have no idea how much I’ve been longing to hear those words from you babes, I fell in love with you the very moment I saw you when you arrived here. Thank you for loving me babe, I love you too, much more than you can understand. You and I are my only world babe,” I said so and placed my lips back on hers. This time she did not resist but hungrily kissed me back. If I knew that kissing was this good, maybe I would have done it earlier but nonetheless, I was excited to taste it on my mate’s lips. We went back to the dinner grounds and found everybody dancing. We walked to where her friends, the princesses were and Lucy surprisingly said to us, “So you sneaked out just to go and kiss?” We both turned to look at her with wide eyes. How did she know? “Her lipstick is all over your lips!” she said as if she read my thoughts. Color drained from my face as I got so embarrassed and my hand quickly tried to wipe off the thing. Katty lifted her hand and wiped it off for me and turned to princess Lucy and said, “Yah, we sneaked out to kiss my dear, is it wrong?” she said sarcastically, shaking her head and sticking her tongue out to her. Lucy lifted her hands in surrender and we all burst out laughing. My mate was the best.
