Chapter 67 First Session

  • Tyrone and I were surrounded by a four-story, dull, beige structure that blocked the light and formed a lengthy shadow that appeared to be becoming longer by the minute. The old, yellow-tinged square windows were dotted with tiny, white bird droppings from the rowdy pigeons that fluttered overhead. The crisp wind blew in remnants of the rapidly approaching winter, soaking through my jeans and sending shivers down my spine. Pulling the zipper from my breast to my chin, I snugged my coat over my torso.
