Chapter 57 Laughter
- She stuck a toothpick into their cake, and as it broke, I gave them a disgusted look and covered my mouth with my hand to keep from laughing. She scowled even harder at Mark's embarrassed look before waving a hand dismissively and stepping over to the other pair.
- I approached my friends and mockingly disapprovedly clicked my tongue when Ms. Wilson was out of sight. I laughed at the blackened rock on the oven tray, and they scowled at me as I poked and knocked at its rigid shell.
