Chapter 19 The Apology

  • I wasn't brave enough to skip school after my spectacular exit, and that day was my last period in Languages (French precisely), so I had a paper that was due.
  • I was the first person out of the building when the last bell rang, running as quickly as I could to the bike shed—which wasn't very fast, given that I was always the last person chosen for teams in gym class. Victoria, though, may have something to do with my lack of popularity in gym class.
  • For the zillionth time today, my phone buzzed and showed me another text from one of my friends.
