Chapter 119 First Date
- Even though winter break had just started, I was already curled up on the couch, bored with nothing better to do than surf the cable channels on Saturday mornings. I hadn't even gone on my first date, and the lonesome silence that permeated the entire home was a terrible reminder that my friends were having a great time on yet another date. I moaned into my bowl of Cheetos and attempted to rake my fingers through my curls, only to have them become entangled in the knots and imprisoned inside the bird's nest I had neglected to wash for the past two days.
- This morning, I opted for the crazy cat lady look, wearing a crumpled tee from my father and pajama shorts, not even bothering to shower. Naturally, that didn't make the overwhelming reality that I had to move around the couch every few minutes to stave off a backache any easier.
- I was lying on my back with my legs elevated on the backrest. My face became a bright shade of pink as blood shot to my head, but at least the cooking show I had landed on was more entertaining to watch when the delicious-looking lamb chops were turned inside out.
