Chapter 108 True Feelings

• Ronald and many other soccer players missed class to get additional practice for their next game, putting Victoria in an especially nasty mood. Since the beginning of our double period, her stare had followed me across the classroom, piercing my mind even when I went back to my desk to see if there were any new texts. Tyrone was making me another of his unique surprise cakes, and I was pretty bored.
• I narrowed my eyes slightly as I met her black eyes again. My nerve endings froze as her lips pulled downward into a menacing pout, and I had the sudden want to throttle her. Since I hadn't done anything to her since our bathroom incident a month ago, I didn't understand why she was still giving me dirty glances.
