Chapter 23 Rumors

• I overslept and arrived at class fifteen minutes late, looking like a destitute wreck. I had not had time to blow dry my hair, so my damp curls flowed carelessly past my chest. Not to mention that my clothes were far too large and wrinkled, and I was wearing the same shirt from yesterday.
• "Seraphina, you know my rules about tardiness!" Ms. Wilson angrily exclaimed, her steel grey eyes glancing disapprovingly over my unkempt appearance.
