Chapter 95

• I feel defeated. I feel broken. I feel, I don’t know how to describe it. It’s like a rage that’s inside of me and it’s steadily growing. I can sense Lilith observing me and I wave a dismissive hand at her.
• “Leave.”
• I’m practically begging her. I can’t maintain my composure for much longer. She hesitates and looks towards Cody for instruction, and he nods. She hastily leaves the room, shutting the door behind her. For a moment there is nothing but silence and the heavy sound of my breathing as I force myself to breathe in and out, my mind whirling, darkness beginning to surround me. Cody reaches for me as I sink to my knees, despair taking over. I begin to cry, loudly, my tears trickling down my cheeks as I whimper from the pain that is slowly destroying me from the inside.
