• I needed to calm down. The thought that my mate had deliberately misled me when it came to this so-called Alpha Leon only infuriated me. I stormed outside, ignoring the brightness of the sunshine, the cool breeze of the wind and stared blankly at the forest, cursing the fact that I could not shift into a wolf and simply run into the woods, if only to gain some sort of peace and relaxation. Why had I been born wolf less? Why had the moon goddess cursed me? What was the other half of my hybridness? I did not know. I had all these questions and no answers.
• “Cody?” a voice said tentatively from behind me.
