Chapter 89

  • She sleeps so peacefully, I thought with amusement as I looked over at my sleeping mate who was fast asleep in the passenger side of the car.
  • I watched the rise and fall of her chest, watched the peaceful expression on her face. I felt as though I was watching the other side of Charisma, the sweet and loving side. I sighed and then concentrated on the road, wanting to get back to the castle as soon as possible. Now that we had a direction to search and the knowledge that the warehouse was underground, no doubt Charisma would throw herself whole heartedly into the search, looking to tear Alpha Leon from limb to limb. Not that I blamed her. For somebody to be so evil, it was only natural she would seek to end his life. I didn’t not envy him being in his shoes. It was just a matter of time until we caught up to him now.
  • A loud growl caused me to frown. A roar soon filled the air. I felt tension in the air and sniffed, smelling the distinct scent of rotten meat and eggs. I scowled and then pushed harder on the gas, causing Charisma to waken from her slumber, her own eyes sharpening as she smelt the air, a scowl appearing on her face.
