- For a moment there I thought I was reaching my mate but now it’s easy to see that his mind has gone elsewhere. There is a distant look in his eyes, a strange expression on his face and he’s looking right through me. I know instinctively that he’s gone back to the past, before he met me and that whatever it is he’s seeing it’s enough to cause his body to stiffen and then still before me. I gently remove my hand being careful with what I say. The loss of control has caused him to lose his composure and there is but only one way I can see that would help him. We either stop or….
