Chapter 82

• The nape of my neck felt as though it was burning, the heat flooding through my body, causing me to gasp as I jolted awake, my body lurching forward only to be grasped by Cody at the last second before I toppled out of bed.
• “Cody,” I gasped, even as he eyed me cautiously, helping to move me backwards on the bed so that I leaned against the pillows. “What happened?” I asked, my hand reaching to touch the nape of my neck as my mate gave me a pained look.
• “You don’t remember?” he asked slowly and suddenly images began to flood through my mind.
