Chapter 94
- “I put all my efforts into trying to hide my tracks.”
- Thomas isn’t even attempting to hide what he’d done now, no doubt reading the writing on the wall. I study my mate, taking in the tears she’s trying to contain, the rigidness of her shoulders and the paleness of her pallor. She had expressed to me before her doubts about Thomas and his character, but she was taking no pleasure in finding out she’d been right about the bastard. He seemed unrepentant in his murder of the King, even going so far as to give a wicked grin as though he was proud of his treachery. What was going through his mind? How could he be so calm, so composed? How long had he been betraying the Goldberg family for? How deep did his treachery go?
- “You were my father’s right-hand man. He trusted you” Charisma accused while I stood there, debating whether to kill the bastard myself or not.
