Chapter 69

• Charisma was not her usual bubbly self when we made it back to the Blood Lust Pack. Instead of waiting for answers she charged down to the dungeon where Beta Rick and his mate Bree were still being held in a cell. They looked startled to see her, immediately leaping to their feet. I studied them closely. Their time in a cell had wearied them. There were blood splatters on the wall from them being tortured for answers and both of them had denied the whereabouts of the warehouse and had no idea which other packs were involved in the breeding program. Bree looked the worse for wear, her dress torn to shreds, her hair matted to her face and her body littered with bruises and marks from a silver whip.
• “Queen Charisma” she stammered.
• Charisma glared at them both. “Cut the crap. Which one of you is involved in the blood oath? Did you both know you Alpha had taken part in a ritual that could kill numerous people it they tried to betray him?”
