• I’m starting to reach my mate. As we walk the grounds, I begin to show him the various herbs that grow wildly in the forest. I point to wolfbane. “This is deadly to Lycan’s,” I told him softly, as he looked intently at the herb, as though trying to memorize it, “much like silver is to shifters. It can cause a painful slow death when imbibed,” I added darkly.
• I pointed at another plant. “Vervain. This is harmful to vampires.”
• There were a strange number of deadly plants in this forest, I thought darkly. Another one caught my eye. “Belladonna, a poison that can also kill but any species.”
