Chapter 43

• It was like I was possessed. One moment I was focussed on the road and the next moment I had pulled over and began to kiss my mate, almost frantic to feel his lips on mine. As Cody’s lips plastered to mine, I could feel his body beginning to respond to me, my back arching slightly, my breathing becoming shallow as he dominated me fiercely, deepening the kiss and gripping the back of my neck, his hand twining in my hair. It was somewhat awkward, with the car seats between us and I suddenly moved, pushing his seat back and climbing on top of him as he eyed me, breaking the kiss off, panting heavily. I had never been one to always let the man make the move and right now, I felt as though I needed my mate, not just in an emotional sense but a physical one too.
• “What about…” he trailed off, wheezing and then started again. “What about your men?” he asked coughing and trying to look over his shoulder, even as I tried to bring his attention back to me.
• I gave a sly grin, flipping my new blonde caramel hair over my shoulder and grinding against him as he gasped. I wanted to do it again and hear that sound from his lips. I hurried to reassure him that we were alone.
