Chapter 65

• Chatter had picked up once the door to the room had been closed. Judge Ruby slammed her gavel on the desk. “Order in the courtroom!” She waited for the room to be silent before glaring at the jury. “Sir, would you please read your verdict aloud to the court?”
• The male juror stood up and began reading down the list of charges. “Guilty.” As he read the final charge, the members of the Myingan Pack began pounding on the already cracked barrier. Their hope of avoiding jail time was quickly fading. Art O'Donnoly was the most vocal, pitching a fit at the news.
• Judge Ruby struck her gavel again, louder this time. “One more disruption from you, and you'll face additional charges!” she bellowed at the accused. After the room calmed down, she turned her attention back to the jury. “Thank you for your service. You are free to go!”
