Chapter 23

• The door had closed as their driver began heading towards the palace. Not a word had been spoken as they passed through three blocks. Paul opened and closed his mouth as he tried to find the right words to say. “You seriously throat punched that guy?” Who was utterly shocked that she would have done something in front of several witnesses. “Have you gone mad?”
• Iris began to giggle, “Mad would indicate that I have lost all common sense of reality.” She turned her head to look up at Paul. “I think the question you meant to ask was, are you crazy? And for which I would have to reply every single female is crazy … it just depends on what level the female is on!” she said with a sweet smile on her face. Giggling some more, “I think at the moment I was on level five … past the legal limit!”
• Both Maximum and Paul snorted, trying to suppress the laughter. “You realize James is not going to laugh when he hears about this.” Maximum watched Iris shrug for shoulders, “by the way, that was a good throat punch. Though in my opinion, you should have put more of your weight into it.”
