• Jayden had gone to a remote part of the palace. Pulling out his phone, he tapped it a few times and placed it to his ear. “Bri, please don’t hang up! Just hear me out.” Jayden paced around the hall as he listened to what Bri had to say. “I know you’ve given me an ultimatum, but it’s not that easy.” He paused for a moment. “No, she hasn’t put the ring back on!” He exhaled sharply. “If I don’t try to smooth things over with Iris, my father is going to strangle me.” he looked around to make sure the area was still clear.
• Several times, Jayden ran his fingers through his hair, occasionally leaning his head back in frustration as he listened to Bri. "Can't I have you both?" he said, his voice tinged with exasperation. "I believe we can make this work!" he added, trying to calm the situation. "What if I told Iris what's going on? I could help her understand that I love both of you equally."
