Chapter 44
- Jayden was aggressively shoving his belongings into his bag as Iris walked into the apartment. Turning his head, he watched as Iris strolled into the lounge. “I hope you’re happy. I am the laughing stock of all the Alpha’s.” As he was cleaning up his mess, he continued to point out everything that she had done wrong. Berating her for her behaviour. Pointing out the differences between her and the wives of the Alphas. Verbally telling her what she needs to change if she is to be accepted as a Luna. “The pack's image is everything!” he said, the one line his father had repeated over since he could remember.
- Iris said nothing as she sat down in the chair. Waiting for Jayden to continue with his rant.
- “You embarrassed me in front of my peers. I have all of the Alpha’s telling me that I need to put a leash on you before you start thinking you are the Alpha.” his sight was locked on Iris. A glare of anger matched his words. Still, Iris did not change her blank stare as she continued to listen to Jayden's question. “Why?”
