Chapter 50

• Turning the corner, Iris spotted Louis pacing back and forth in front of the doors that led into the conference hall. Gauging his body language, Iris could tell that Louis was distraught. Placing his nose in the air, Louis glared down at Iris, “what are you doing here?” he questioned as she motioned her feet closer to him. “The wives of the Alphas and representatives are to be in the lounge. Not wandering around the palace halls and corridors.”
• Iris was in no mood to play aristocrats and proper etiquette to a class that believed they were higher on the social scale of others. “How cute, another one with a small itty bitty mind.” she darkened her glare, “Well you're playing catch up to the big bad O'Donnolys … I'm actually doing your job!” She turned her body so that she was facing the doors. Placing her arms comfortably behind her back, she linked her hand over her wrist. In a dark tone, “Myingan Pack Members have gathered along the water line that divides our lands.”
• Louis whipped his head in the direction of Iris, “how do you know this information?” he hissed.
