Chapter 13

• Family members who needed to attend the Alpha meeting, plus Paul and Maximum, had joined Alpha King James for the first meal of the day. They were sitting down as the kitchen staff cleaned up after everyone had eaten. Iris stood up and said, “I need to go and make some coffee before we leave for the courthouse.”
• Overhearing what Iris had said, “I would be happy to make you a coffee, Miss!” Margeret, the head of the kitchen staff, commented.
• “I … Um …” Iris stuttered. She glanced over at Jayden, who was giving her a knowing expression. “Thank you, Margeret! That would be much appreciated.” she filled her lungs as she pulled out the chair again and sat down.
