• Everyone's eyes were locked on Iris as she followed Alpha King James and Louis down the hall to a location she had never been to before. Glancing around, she noticed several closed doors and could tell that this section of the palace once housed offices. She could only assume that these offices were occupied by high-ranking officials.
• At the end of the hall, Alpha King James opened a door, holding it open with his hand to gesture for Iris and his cousin to enter. Louis motioned for Iris to take the first available chair while he took the one next to her. After ensuring the door was locked, Alpha King James took his place behind the desk.
• Iris already knew that the Alpha King had called for a 30-minute break. Not wasting time on pleasantries, she got straight to the point. She opened the laptop and clicked on the file that was a must-see for the Alpha King.
