Chapter 15

• Iris was stuck between Maximum and Paul as the driver navigated through the traffic. “You insulted James by saying he and the family are weak," Maximum said, breaking the silence. Each word spoken was cold as ice.
• Her tone was flat. This was a hill she was willing to die on. “I did not imply he and the family were weak … I implied that everyone is weak. Humans and shifters a like.” Iris kept looking ahead out the driver's window.
• Paul snorted with irritation, “that is the same thing in the eyes of James and us.”
