• I felt a chill run down my spine as his hands touched mine. I tried to get away, but he was too strong. Oh God, I thought I might be murdered by my own mate.
• Just then, the door to the club opened and Louis came in, looking frantic. "Harvey, what are you doing? Let go of her," he said, pulling his hands away from me. "Take her home Louis, I don't want her staying here another second," Harvey said in a commanding voice, before walking away. Louis almost bowed his head in response. Great, an arrogant and bossy Alpha. What did I do to deserve this?
• "Hey, are you okay?" Louis asked in a kind voice. I hadn't realized it, but tears had started to form in my eyes. "Your brother is a sexist jerk," I yelled, trying to hold back the tears. I spun around and started to walk away. "Let me at least take you home. You don't look like you can drive," he said, catching up to me.
