Chapter 19
- The next morning, I heard a knock on my door while I was in the shower. I quickly got out and got dressed, then went downstairs and saw Alice sitting in the living room, watching TV and eating an apple.
- "Oh hey," she said absently. "I tried your door, but you didn't answer, so I figured I'd wait here."
- "I thought I heard someone knocking. I was in the shower," I explained.
