Chapter 17
- I woke up the next morning feeling famished. I splashed my face with water and tied my hair in a bun before heading downstairs to find something to eat. As I made my way to the kitchen, I realized that no one was home. Harvey must have left while I was still asleep. It was probably for the best since all of our interactions had been nothing short of uncomfortable. I grabbed some cereal and poured it into a bowl. After adding the milk, I took it to the living room and ate while watching TV.
- Once I was done, I went back upstairs to my room to get ready for my day with Alice . Surprisingly, I was really looking forward to taking a tour of the pack grounds. I hadn't seen much yesterday since it was almost dark when we arrived and Harvey had taken me straight to his house, but from what I could make out, the place looked stunning. The weather outside was freezing now that winter had arrived and due to the high altitude of this place, the temperature was already pretty low. I settled on some brown boots, blue skinny jeans and a black sweater before heading downstairs.
- I decided to take a look around the front yard of the house while I waited for Alice. It was almost the size of a football field and had gorgeous flowers planted at the boundaries. I was admiring the flowers when I heard a familiar voice. I spun around and saw Alice walking towards me, waving her hand frantically. I waved back and walked towards her.
