Chapter 45

• I grumble as I take in the sight of the hickies that have once again made their way onto my neck. "Why won't you heal these?" I ask Jade. She responds with a sassy tone, "Because I like having them." I sigh and make my way out of the bathroom, slipping on a pair of dark blue jeans and a black turtleneck sweater. harvey had left before I woke up this morning, and I had a hazy recollection of him saying something about needing to go early to make up for the time he had spent with me the past few days. My mind was still too foggy to comprehend what he was saying, so I just went back to sleep.
• Today I'm visiting the witches' house, and I'm thrilled to be the first one to check it out. Jason, Alice, and harvey were all jealous that I got to go, which only adds to my excitement. Betty had prepared a delicious breakfast for me, and after eating, I set out for my day with the witches.
