• Alice had planned everything out to absolute perfection, so I was surprised when she called me to discuss things with her yesterday. I couldn't think of a single thing I could have done better - party planning had never been my strong suit. I felt bad that she had to do so much work because of me, but it was clear she was enjoying it. Her excitement was palpable as she explained the ceremony to me.
• As promised, alice showed up at the house a couple of hours before the ceremony to help me get ready. She was wearing a stunning floor-length, one-shoulder, forest green dress, with her hair tied up in a bun and red lipstick.
• "Wow, you look amazing!" I exclaimed as I welcomed her inside.
